Simon Francis, coordinator of the End Fuel Poverty Coalition, said: “In just 15 days, Ofgem will announce the new energy price cap and households will learn how much their energy bills will increase.
“The government should be working flat out on a package of support for vulnerable households and those in energy debt now, while urgently reforming electricity prices to bring down costs for everyone.
“Energy bills were the number one cost of living concern for voters at the last elections.
“All MPs and ministers should be focussed on addressing the challenges constituents face rather than internal party politics and the Westminster bubble.”
