Mark Oates, founder of We Vape, said: “We welcome certain elements of the bill, including a retail licensing scheme for vapes and age restrictions for nicotine pouches. But it is vital the government protects vape flavours, which remain the single most effective incentive for adult smokers to make the switch to a less harmful alternative.
“We are also calling for a strict 20mg nicotine strength cap on pouches to element dangerous, black market products. Proportional regulation, rather than prohibition, is the only way to achieve a smoke-free generation without fueling criminal enterprise, or restrict options for people wanting to quit cigarettes.”
