Jamie Strachan, operations director at VPZ | The Vaping Specialist, said: “We are aware of the significant fire on Union Street in Glasgow on Sunday 8 March.
“As a precaution, our VPZ store located on Union Street will remain closed today while emergency services continue their work in the area.
“The safety of our colleagues, customers and the wider community is our absolute priority, and we will reopen the store once it is safe to do so.
“We would also like to clarify once again that, despite speculation circulating on social media, the vape shop involved in the fire is not owned or operated by VPZ.
“We would like to thank the emergency services for their swift response and professionalism, and we appreciate the understanding and patience of our customers while the situation is being managed.”
