# Revolut looking at dual stock market listing in London and New York

Danni Hewson, head of financial analysis at AJ Bell, is not surprised that Revolut is targeting the New York stock market.

She said: “Already in the headlines this week thanks to a cyber-attack which reportedly saw customer details handed over, and a multi-million ransom demanded, comments from Revolut’s founder have put its stock market listing plans back in the spotlight.

“Nik Storonsky has said the company is targeting a dual stock market listing in New York and London, with getting on the Nasdaq the priority.

“A homegrown success story and Britain’s largest fintech firm, Revolut secured a full UK banking licence earlier this year.

“There may be disappointment that London won’t be Revolut’s exclusive or potentially even its primary listing venue, despite apparent overtures from UK ministers, but the decision to also target New York is unsurprising given the scale of that market and the valuation premium it enjoys. Even if it is yet another blow to the prestige of the UK market.

“Previous comments from Storonsky have suggested an IPO won’t be pursued until 2028 but these comments may stoke speculation about listing plans being brought forward.”
