Coordinator, End Fuel Poverty Coalition

Simon is a leading campaigner on fuel poverty and energy affordability, coordinating the End Fuel Poverty Coalition – a network of more than 100 charities, health bodies, consumer groups and local authorities committed to ensuring everyone can afford to stay warm and well at home.

He provides expert analysis on energy bills, standing charges, tariff reform, social tariffs, energy debt and the links between cold homes, health and social care.

He has given evidence to Parliamentary committees, contributed to numerous government consultations and is a regular media commentator on energy and cost-of-living issues.

With more than 20 years’ experience in campaigning, Simon has helped shape national debate on energy affordability and consumer fairness while supporting community-led and area-based approaches to improving housing and cutting bills.

His work focuses on practical and long-term solutions including targeted financial support, large-scale home insulation programmes, fairer energy pricing and investment in homegrown renewables to deliver secure and affordable energy for households across Britain.
