# Dr Daniel McNally

Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Emerald

Daniel is co-founder and chief medical officer at Emerald, a technology-enabled preventative health platform that provides individuals with the tools, insights and support they need to continuously understand their health.

He is a fully-qualified NHS doctor, with wide-ranging clinical experience covering intensive care, acute and emergency medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital.

Daniel completed his medical degree at Newcastle University. This included an intercalated year of study at Imperial College London, where he completed a BSc in medical sciences with biomedical engineering. He has since received a Master of philosophy from the University of Cambridge.

Daniel previously served as a captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps 256 Field Hospital (Reserves), before transitioning to a commercial role in the healthcare and life sciences team at Oliver Wyman.

Today, he is committed to empowering patients with the tools they need to lead healthier and happier lives through Emerald’s services.
