Vice President of Programmes and Operations, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)

Elisa is currently vice president of programmes and operations at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), since joining in 2010.

She plays a central role in driving the organisation’s campaigns, public outreach, and communication work.

In her work, Elisa oversees much of the organisation’s public-facing work on behalf of animals across the UK, Ireland, and beyond.

She leads strategic campaigns that rely on bold storytelling, high-impact demonstrations, and creative advocacy to bring animal issues into the public eye - and to advance PETA’s message that “animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, or use for entertainment.”

Elisa is also a frequent media commentator, appearing on television and radio programmes - from the BBC to LBC - to debate furriers, circus owners, hunters, and others who harm animals.
