# Dr Paul Jones

Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience, Aston University

Paul is associate dean for education and student experience (PGT) at Aston University.

He is a psychologist whose work focuses on applying psychological and philosophical ideas to help explain behaviour in modern life and organisations.

Paul's writing and research explore how people respond to uncertainty, technology, and changing social expectations, translating academic insights into accessible commentary on contemporary issues.

Much of his work focuses on the psychology of work, organisational behaviour, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in decision making.

He examines how people experience technological change, why new systems such as AI can generate both enthusiasm and distrust, and how organisations can adopt innovation while maintaining trust, fairness, and human judgement.

Paul regularly contributes commentary on workplace trends, technology, and modern working life.

He also speaks at conferences and industry events on the future of work, responsible technology adoption, and the human dimensions of organisational change.
