Director of External Affairs, Portman Group

David is director of external affairs at Portman Group.

He is responsible for the company's public affairs, policy, partnerships and other communications.

This ensures that Portman Group anticipates and responds to issues within the industry in order to provide the public and policymakers with the clearest information on the sector, as well as to champion and challenge the industry to adhere to the highest standards of social responsibility.

Previously, David was Portman Group’s head of policy and public affairs, leading on the group’s policy development, horizon scanning, research analysis and engagement with political stakeholders across the UK.

Prior to joining us, David spent over six years at EUK Consulting, a global public and regulatory affairs consultancy.

He specialised in providing public affairs support and research intelligence to clients in the food, aerospace and consumer goods sectors, amongst others.
