She is also an author, editor, and investment commentator with nearly 20 years of experience in the UK financial services industry.

Maike's career has consistently focused on demystifying complex financial topics to help UK savers and investors.

She has held senior positions in marketing, content, and client engagement at several major financial services companies, including Hargreaves Lansdown, Fidelity International, and Investec Asset Management (now Ninety One).

Maike began her career as a financial journalist, writing for several Financial Times publications, notably Investors Chronicle magazine, where she covered income investing.

She started her journalism career in South Africa.
